Calling all artists: change the world with your art!

Calling all artists: change the world with your art!

Art With Impact and Partners for Mental Health promote mental wellness throughout Canada through innovative and creative campaigns and events. Our upcoming fundraiser The Art of Well-Being will bring people together in an engaging and informative evening of mixed media in support of mental health while showcasing local artistic talent and award winning short films.

You’re invited to play an important part in this event by donating art for the silent auction to help raise much needed funds for these two national charities.

Your support of this event will showcase your talent to a diverse audience of students, Calgary residents and the local art community.

Participating artists will receive one free ticket to the event, a donation receipt for tax purposes, exposure for your work and most importantly, “the feels” (you know… that thing that happens when you know you’re using your art to support growing, vital charities who want to make the world a better place by breaking down barriers for individuals to access mental health resources).

Funds raised at this event will give much-needed support to Partners for Mental Health whose campaigns mobilize Canadians to change the way we think about, act towards and support mental health and those living with mental illness and to Art With Impact Canada’s film-based workshops that reduce the stigma around mental illness through the emotional power of art and film.

If you are interested in donating art for this event, please contact [email protected] or [email protected] for more information. Artwork may be for 2-D work on paper or canvas or small 3-D pieces such as small metals or craft. Artists are responsible for framing their artwork if necessary and dropping off or shipping their artwork to Calgary.  In special circumstances we can coordinate artwork pick ups.

The Art of Well-Being, an evening of mixed media in support of mental health will be held at Mount Royal University on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 beginning at 5:00 pm. The event will feature a silent auction, special guest musicians, short films and more. Complete lineup TBA.
