AWI Voices With Impact presents: The Interior World

Facilitated by: Lumi Lopez

Featuring:

  • Promise by Lane Stanley
  • Save the Queen by 1990’s Chris and Lucie Rachel
  • Coming Home to Myself by Feyannie Hung and Nicole Kennedy

Humans are beautifully complex in our ability to verbally and nonverbally express our unique internal experiences. Still, our interior worlds are not always at the forefront of our narratives.

What do we share of our internal worlds, and what do we keep inside, and why? How do we decide? In this session, we will watch three short films that offer a glimpse into the interior worlds of our protagonists. Joining filmmakers Lane Stanley, 1990s Chris, Lucie Rachel, Feyannie Hung and Nicole Kenney, we will explore creative ways to nurture and express the world inside of us, and cultivate curiosity about the interior worlds of others.

Led by the filmmakers, the festival features a selection of interactive seminars and engaging discussions, related to the films and the themes we are exploring through this year’s program. If you are interested in learning about these sessions, you can see them all on our Voices With Impact information page!
