We All Have Choices!
Floyd showed up off the street looking for work. We were building an Arts and Badminton center, and had a huge load of drywall coming in that day, so we gave him a chance. He had been behind bars for over 30 years, he had no skills, but quickly learned the circular saw, drill gun and painting. Homeless, addicted to drugs and alcohol and estranged from his family, Floyd had many obstacles to overcome, including a criminal record that made it nearly impossible to gain employment. Floyd loves music and I showed him a few riffs on the bass. He also learned how to string racquets and started playing badminton. There is one still picture from his 1st ever birthday party! Lynn sent him a message and intention via song, and he listens constantly. The organization did some fundraising and lifted him from homelessness to having his own small room in a house.
