Who We Are

Art With Impact is a nonprofit organization that promotes mental wellness by creating space for young people to learn and connect through art and media. We partner with colleges and universities to offer arts-based workshops that raise awareness about mental health, increase empathy in campus communities, and reduce the stigma around reaching out for support. Most of our workshops are built around the films in OLIVE, Art With Impact’s Online Library for Interactive Video and Engagement. We have built OLIVE into the world’s largest and most diverse library of short films about mental health through a monthly online short film competition and through our annual production grant and festival program, Voices With Impact.

Job Overview

The Film Program and Festivals Associate is responsible for managing our year-long Voices With Impact program, which supports the creation and premieres of five-minute short films on underrepresented topics in the field of mental health, as well as our biannual Our Stories, Our Voices festivals, which use OLIVE films to spark discussions about mental health as it relates to specific identities and lived experiences.

Who You Are

You love film and firmly believe in its power to change the world. You’re passionate about good storytelling and love promoting stories that have traditionally been excluded from mainstream media.

You consider yourself a big-picture thinker with keen attention to detail. You love the combination of control and speed that working autonomously on a small team gives you and are aware of your limitations and don’t hesitate to ask for support when it could make your work better. You’re dedicated to seeing a project through but can also pivot quickly when organizational needs change. You like wearing a bunch of hats because it means that your work is different day to day, and sometimes even hour to hour.

Finally, you’re a true people-person. Having a lot of conversations throughout the day is energizing for you, and helps build your passion for the work. To you, it would be fun to chat with a sponsor, a couple filmmakers, and a vendor on the same day, all while managing an active email inbox.

Here’s What You’ll Do

You will be responsible for end-to-end management of our annual Voices With Impact film program and our biannual Our Stories, Our Voices festivals. This includes managing the RFP Process, supporting and empowering selected filmmakers, coordinating the Voices With Impact and Our Stories, Our Voices film festivals, and recruiting and managing festival sponsors.
