Ari Bird is a California-born visual artist who has a passion for combining mental health/healing with the arts. After receiving a BFA at UC Santa Cruz in 2010, Bird moved to San Francisco, interning at Kala Art Institute from 2012-2014 and acting as a volunteer artist at Creativity Explored. After doing social work/counseling for 2 years, Bird transitioned to working with artists with disabilities and promoting arts/wellness education. In her art practice, Bird combines a variety of materials to create large paintings/collages, tiny objects, parcels, and publications.
