Jennifer comes to Art With Impact with a deep appreciation of mental illness, along with a passion to help others and make a positive impact on the world. She hopes that by marketing our Monthly Film Contest to Film Schools around the U.S., we can work to remove the stigma attached to people even acknowledging mental illness exists; that it’s OK to say, “I feel ____. I need help; where do I start?” By getting the word out to emerging film makers and their viewers, Jennifer hopes to help society re-frame its ideas and pre-conceived notions surrounding mental illness.
Jennifer joined AWI after a long career in the insurance industry. Having decided to step back and find a satisfying second career in the non-profit industry, she’s exploring many avenues for “Jennifer 2.0!” For 3 years now, she has volunteered at Pets Unlimited in San Francisco, working with the Adoption Center’s many cats and dogs. She’s also worked with Little Children’s Aid and at various other children charities. Jennifer enjoys working out, yoga, fashion, food, wine and travel, reading and most of all, hanging out and laughing with good friends! She has lived in SF most of her life and is currently owned by two, very lazy cats.
