Lori has intimate experience with mental illness and is passionate about stigma reduction. Her message is simple. Everyone has mental health and the focus needs to be more on preventative action to stay mentally healthy and coping strategies when not.
A diagnosed mental illness is no different than a diagnosed physical illness and the same compassionate rules need to apply.
As a storyteller, Lori finds that sharing her own experiences with audiences has been both therapeutic and enriching. Lori has been professional speaker and facilitator for over twenty years telling other people’s stories and now it’s her turn to tell her own and to support others to do the same.
Art with Impact’s message and forum for students to express what mental illness means for them is both worthwhile and inspiring. This work is breaking down barriers and changing the conversation for the better!
