Tia Hill

From a young age, arts education has helped Tia develop a sense of lifelong learning, along with museum positions and volunteering. Her monotone voice might catch you off guard or imply otherwise, but she is totally enamored with meeting new people, making connections with others, and learning about other cultures. After taking a Mental Health First Aid Training earlier this year, she has become more interested in destigmatizing mental health and prioritizing self-care in every facet of wellness. Career-wise, she is focused on how art and mental health can wonderfully intersect for the betterment of individuals and communities in the field of social work. Through a strong personal connection to AWI’s mission and goals from her own experience with anxiety, she is excited to continue volunteering with the organization. Tia currently resides in California with her partner and orange tabby cat.
